True to our nature, we celebrated Pride ’26 from east to west

To denote the fact that we choose to stand resolutely and consistently for the principles of individuality and inclusion, we chose Always Proud as our unifying theme and lived it on the eve of Pride celebrations in Canada’s major cities. 

Toronto was first up in June and there, we decorated Pride flags, held a special Always Proud luncheon and raised funds for Rainbow Railroad, which provides emergency relocation, crisis response, cash assistance, and other forms of support for local 2SLGBTQI+ communities. Special thanks to Daniel et Daniel, Craig’s Cookies and Machino for their tasty contributions to our festivities.

Mid-summer brought city-wide Pride celebrations to Vancouver and Montreal, and Always Proud events to our local offices.

In Montreal, our team decorated Pride flags, celebrated Pride at a luncheon catered by Miss Prêt à Manger and donated generously to AGIR, which supports asylum seekers, refugees, immigrants, and people with precarious immigration status.

In Vancouver, our team took part in a Tote-Ally Awesome Pride tote decorating party, enjoyed a meal catered by 2Guys with Knives and Johnny Pops and raised funds for the Rainbow Refugee Society to further its mission of promoting safe, equitable migration for individuals fleeing persecution.  

In Calgary, our Always Proud luncheon in early September featured games, catering by Sweathered Hen and Craig’s Cookies, and fundraising for End of the Rainbow and Skipping Stone, two very worthy local causes that work hard to improve life for people of diverse sexualities.

Pride is about community, and we salute the businesses that joined us to celebrate, including Canada Guaranty which was with us every step of the way, providing generous support and delicious treats at First National offices from east to west.
