Lunar New Year is a time of celebration for East and Southeast Asian Canadians and for members of our Vancouver team.
Lunar New Year is a time of celebration for East and Southeast Asian Canadians and for members of our Vancouver team.
To mark this auspicious occasion, our Vancouver office hosted a representative from the Chinese Canadian Museum, which honours the history, contributions and heritage of Canadians of Chinese descent. During an informative discussion, she described how people in different regions celebrate Lunar New Year in their own distinct ways but with many shared ties.
With the help of the Museum, our team participated in craft making to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse and in exchange, raised more than $700 to further the ambitions of an institution proudly located in the Wing Sang Building, the oldest brick structure in Vancouver’s Chinatown.
To round out this year’s celebrations, we enjoyed a delicious meal catered by T&T Supermarket, the largest Asian grocery store chain in Canada.
We sincerely thank the Chinese Canadian Museum for participating in our festivities, and wish those born under the sign of the Fire Horse and everyone who celebrates Lunar New Year, Xīnnián Kuàilè, Sun Nin Fai Lok, Chúc Mừng Năm Mới and Saehae bok mani badeuseyo.
