Salvatore joined the First National team in 2022 as an Originator on the Montreal team. He has worked in banking since 2001, with a focus on relationship roles in commercial lending across diverse assets and property types. 

Throughout his career in commercial lending at the banks, Salvatore was responsible for managing large portfolios with intense customer service demands. He emphasizes a personal approach with clients, ensuring he is always available and respectful. Salvatore believes in consistently striking the balance between confidence and humility. He is transparent in his communication and focuses on solutions rather than problems. 

For him, exceptional client service comes down to preparation -- studying the files, knowing the projects and identifying the company’s key decision makers. Salvatore stays curious and asks probing questions to help clients think differently to open up new opportunities. 

With the vast number of client and files and scenarios he’s seen, Salvatore has many precedents to draw upon when evaluating and managing deals. He has answers to all the questions he asked as he grew and evolved in the industry. In addition to his professional expertise, he has personal, hands-on experience in buying, selling and managing real estate. He relates to the challenges of managing tenants, budgets, costs and issues.
